This is a fairly recent acoustic remake of one of my first band (Out of Luck) songs, must have been written in about 2001/2.

You went away a different person to who we've had returned,
And I can't deny the simpleness of the lesson that you've learned,
And my respect has been tried in your eyes, and if it happened again...
I'd shake your hand, and wish you good luck, because the next time it would be the end.

I never knew I could be so strong,
I never thought I'd lose my friend,
One thing you said, and I will always know, is you I can depend.

This twist of fate is what you needed and now you'll see what i mean,
and something that I've learnt from you is that you'll always be a part of me, and it's only now i realise it was meant to be.
I respect you for how far you've come since you were taken away, I know there's nothing to say until i see you again.

It's bit of a long genre name though... I've been on a very long hiatus, but I am currently working on some NEW MUSIC! ... more
